Tim
Maurer
has spent 25 years in Strategic Planning; Branding; Marketing, Product and Sales Management; Direct Marketing; and Loyalty. His achievements include advising the White House, National Economic Council and Cabinet on growth. Recently, Tim has led the advocacy of mobile payments and marketing, introducing C-Sam, a leading edge mobile processing platform, to a leading global payment processor and a leading global content company. He served as Vice President, Product/Voice of the Customer, First Data Resources, where he led marketing for their IT/data company, doubling per employee profit contribution to $260K EBIT-per-employee; increasing EBIT from $23MM to $35MM; and growing sales from $69 MM to $90 MM. He also led the company's Health Savings Account business plan and personally secured Hewitt. Tim also secured a merchant processing, gift card and loyalty endorsement from the International Franchise Association.
An innovator, Tim invented a new real time process for retail Point Of Sale SKU
capture, loyalty and payment processing -- without retailer programming -- and a
patent has been filed on this.
He is a direct marketing specialist with expertise in conceiving and managing lifestyle groups and loyalty programs; he has devised a ski area credit card and skier loyalty program; constructed a Smithsonian affiliate credit card program gaining first-ever access to their affluent membership; and he launched a direct marketing bank for The Travelers insurance company.
Tim also transformed an electric utility to competitive marketer, securing over 30% market share amid 30 players.
His ethnic expertise includes co-chairing a National Minority Business Symposium with the U. S. Chamber of Commerce.
He is a proponent of collaboration. He
conceived and managed successful joint marketing partnerships with top U.S.
business institutions such as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, International
Franchise Association, U.S. Small Business Administration, Rockwell Automation,
a Smithsonian affiliate, and Ski New England.
